What is acidity?

The food we eat enters our stomach through the esophagus. The gastric glands present in your stomach produce acid. This is essential for the digestion of food. You feel a burning sensation when the gastric glands produce excess acid. This occurs beneath the breastbone.  Such a situation refers to acidity. It is also called acid reflux. Any burning sensation or pain in the chest may also be due to acidity.

Acidity is one of the most common problems faced in our life. Some effective home remedies to cure acidity:

1. Banana

Coconut water soothes your stomach and digestive system. It prevents the reoccurrence of acidity. Drink 2 glass of coconut water daily for good results.
